SCAM ALERT
We have been made aware of a scam involving telephone calls to patients claiming to be someone from their GP Practice.
They ask patients to Press 2 immediately or to go online and update their contact details with failure to do so resulting in potential removal from the Practice list. Other patients have reported that they have been asked to purchase equipment.
The caller has not used specific Practice names and this scam is being reported all over the country.
Please be very wary when giving information over the phone. If you are in any doubt at all about who is calling please contact the Practice directly to speak with us.
We would never:- contact you without giving the name of the staff member calling and the Practice name, threaten removal for not updating records, ask you to purchase equipment from us, or ask for your bank details.
